The resort has a number of blue flag beaches, a plush Marina and Yacht club, a characterful old town, colourful markets, plenty of cafes and restaurants along the promenade and for those who appreciate History, the Temple of Apollo - all within walking distance.



The crystal clear shallow tepid waters of the Aegean surrounds the blue flagged sandy beaches of Altinkum (Translated; Golden Sands) and hosts a number of water-sports including, jet-ski, sailing, banana boats, kite-surfing and fishing. Behind the beach sits a colourful promenade lined with Cafes, Restaurants and Bars serving international cuisine and providing live folk music, modern European chart music, Karaoke, dancing and a small number of night clubs.

Within the old town you can experience a busy residential area that is open all year, a true experience of Turkey, where you can mix and eat with the locals and enjoy traditional Turkish food and visit the large and impressive new Mosque. Only 5 minutes walk from the old town is the renowned Saturday Market which has an abundance of clothes, shoes, bags, crafts, spices, organic fruit and vegetables to choose from - a must for every shopper.

Didim’s Temple of Apollo first began construction more than 2300 years ago and is colossal in both size and stature! Originally intended were 124 Columns each reaching an impressive 20 metres in height and 2 metres in width with the vast majority of all stonework above ground being constructed from Marble. The Temple of Apollo is recorded as being one of the best preserved Temples of Ancient civilisation and is a must see for anyone visiting the area.

Head to the nearby small fishing Village of Mavisehir which hosts the evening outdoor market for an ideal time to shop with a variety of leather goods, clothes, shoes, souvenirs, hand-made pottery, fresh fruit and vegetables. Restaurants and snack foods can be found within the market or walk to the water’s edge and sample the restaurants while experiencing the westerly facing sunsets that drops behind the Greek Islands of Patmos and Leros.

Aqua Park is a fun packed day, with adrenalin-pumping waterslides, splash pads, water playground, music, rain dancing, foam spraying and various other entertaining. Bathing and swimming environments for all ages, even for infants. Drinks and snack food are available.
